March 10 Planning Director's Breakfast Recap

The meeting was a great success.

HAS A NEW BUILDING PROGRAM THAT OFFERS $2,000. REIMBURSEMENT FOR LEED OR BUILDING GREEN APPLICATIONS.
HAVE USED PROFFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AIA, ASLA, ASID, AND AGC TO PROVIDE ONE OF THEIR OWN MEMBERS TO THEIR ADVISORY COMMITTEES INSTEAD OF CITY COUNCIL APPOINTEES.

COAST HWY 101 STRATEGIC PLAN WAS COMPLETED THROUGH A ADVANCED PLANNING CHARRETTE WITH GENEROUS PUBLIC IMPUT. THIS HAS CREATED A “RANGE WAR” WITH CITY TRAFFIC ENGINEERS OVER REDUCING THE CORRIDOR TO ONE LANE EACH WAY + TURN LANES. HE SAID ARCHITECTS SHOULD VOLUNTEER TO SHARE THEIR JOINT COLLECTIVE VISION TO CREATE GREAT SPACES THAT PEOPLE TO ENJOY VISITING AND SUPPORTING FINANCIALLY.
